Multidisciplinary scholar-practitioners with real-world experience, integrating sustainability science, AI, and governance into actionable solutions for communities and institutions.
ZATARA was born from a shared conviction among six Indonesian doctoral researchers in Adelaide, Australia. As scholars pursuing PhDs across different disciplines, from sustainable tourism and environmental science to chemistry, engineering, agricultural hydrology, and educational technology. We found ourselves returning to the same frustration: too many policies and development programmes in Indonesia and the wider region remained disconnected from rigorous scientific evidence.
That frustration became a founding purpose. We established ZATARA Global Consultancy to channel our combined research expertise and decades of practitioner experience into actionable solutions for governments, institutions, and communities. The name itself carries layered meaning: victory and strength in the Arabic-Mediterranean tradition, rootedness in Italian, and transformation in Hebrew heritage, resonances that reflect our commitment to turning evidence into impact.
What distinguishes ZATARA is not academic credentials alone, but the integration of scholarly rigour with real-world experience in government, industry, and community development. Each founder brings a practitioner background. From ministerial advisory roles and power plant operations to waste management policy and agricultural research stations; ensuring that every recommendation we deliver is grounded in both science and operational reality.
